Twitter to shut down accounts impersonating the government

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar’s officials have agreed a deal with Twitter to ensure that fake accounts impersonating the government’s official news service will be taken down immediately.

Officials at the Department of the Taoiseach contacted the social media site over the reporting of fake accounts after several of them emerged in recent months.
