State raises €6m by selling slew of surplus properties

Former Garda stations and social welfare offices are among the buildings sold off for new uses

The state has raised almost €6 million by selling off warehouses, social welfare offices and Garda stations that were deemed to be surplus to requirements.

The Office of Public Works (OPW) had bought the Tara House warehouse in Annacotty Business Park in Limerick for use by other government agencies.
