Minister for Transport Shane Ross has approved the appointment of more than 30 judges in the last two years under a system he has described as “rotten”, a Sunday Business Post analysis has found.
The Dublin Rathdown TD has demanded the reform of the judicial appointments system that he claims is plagued by cronyism and allows politicians to appoint “their favourite barristers and solicitors to the bench”.
