Revenue to help tenancy watchdog identify ‘shadow’ landlords

Tax body aims to share data by year’s end, to help Residential Tenancies Board track down an estimated 124,000 unregistered rental properties

The rental market watchdog is going to be given access to Revenue data to track down ‘shadow landlords’ by the end of the year.

The Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) has been struggling to track down unregistered landlords who only give tenants their phone number rather than their home address.
