Red C poll: Majority of voters would reject unity at annual cost of €20bn to state

A large majority of people have said they would vote no in a referendum for a united Ireland if the cost to the state was €20 billion annually.

The findings follow a report published earlier this month from the Institute of International and European Affairs (IIEA) which put the cost of a united Ireland at close to €20 billion per year for 20 years.
