The government is facing questions about why a new public nursing home will cost five times more than a similarly-sized private nursing home.

Mary Butler, the Minister of State for Older People, announced earlier this month that funding of €35.34 million had been approved for a new 40-bed community nursing home in Clifden in Galway.
