Predicted UK recession ‘makes the case’ for a united Ireland

The possibility of the UK being the worst-performing major economy shows the case for a united Ireland, the SDLP has said.

The IMF said earlier that it predicts a “turning point” for the global economy, raising its growth outlook for the first time in a year.

However, it said Britain faces the bleakest two years of any major industrial nation with a recession in 2023 and the slowest growth of peers in 2024.
