Sinn Féin is seeking to ramp up the pressure on the government to reintroduce mortgage interest relief when the Dáil returns this week.

The party is moving a motion on Tuesday calling for a tax relief worth up to €1,500 for mortgage holders who have been hit by these rising interest rates, at an annual cost of €400 million to the exchequer.
