Parents paying for student accommodation could get €500 tax credit

Parents who pay for their student children’s accommodation may now get the new €500 rental tax credit, according to Tánaiste Leo Varadkar.

It comes after a nationwide student protest today, where students mounted a walk-out from lecture halls at 11am to highlight the rising cost and limited availability of student accommodation.
