Galway Chamber chief running in local elections to add business expertise to council
Kenny Deery said he wanted to rally the troops and breathe new life into a stagnating council that’s struggling to pass even basic measures
Kenny Deery, the outgoing chief executive of Galway Chamber, has announced that he was running as an independent candidate in the upcoming local elections.
Speaking to the Business Post, Deery said there was a “significant deficit” of councillors with an understanding of business needs, which had created a system of “dysfunction” and delay.
