Offaly arts centre opened by president nearly €1m over-budget

The new arts centre opened by President Michael D Higgins in Offaly this week has gone over budget by almost €1 million.
The Esker Arts Centre in Tullamore includes a 228-seat auditorium, an outdoor amphitheatre, and spaces for individual and shared artist studios.
President Higgins has described it as a "major landmark" in the advancement of the arts in the midlands.
