None of the 300 properties offered by the HSE and Department of Health last year for use as refugee accommodation have been taken up by the state, the Business Post can reveal.
The revelation raises further questions about the state’s response to the growing crisis in refugee accommodation, as pressure mounts to secure enough beds for the 100 Ukrainian refugees who are arriving on average each day, as well as newly arrived asylum seekers.
