Intercity cycling route between Waterford and Cork among new transport projects

The country’s first intercity cycling route is set to link Cork and Waterford by 2025.

The government today announced its “Pathfinder Projects”, infrastructure developments which are aimed at increasing active travel and lowering carbon emissions.

The focus of the initiative is to ensure that projects which were already in the works will be delivered as quickly as possible.
