House building sector calls on state to pause planning reform bill

Major house builders and infrastructure developers have called on the government to pause the landmark planning reform bill, claiming that it is “unworkable” due to the lack of resources in the system.

The move represents a significant U-turn by the industry, which has intensively lobbied the government over the past decade for urgent reform of planning laws.
