Hospital group boards to be disbanded to make way for regional health areas
Boards are informed of imminent Sláintecare change by letter as their extended term of office expires
Seven hospital group boards will be stood down in the coming weeks in anticipation of the establishment of new regional health areas under Sláintecare, the Business Post has learned.
Letters were issued to members of the hospital groups this weekend by the Department of Health informing them that Stephen Donnelly, the Minister for Health, would be proceeding with the establishment of new regional health areas (RHAs).
