‘Historic’ underfunding of planning must be tackled to meet climate targets, government told

The Climate Change Advisory Council (CCAC) has written to the government warning that climate targets will be missed if the planning system is not overhauled and properly resourced.

Marie Donnelly, chair of the CCAC, wrote to the three coalition leaders and the Minister for Housing earlier today saying she was “concerned that the timelines for delivery of core measures within the Climate Action Plan are not progressing fast enough”.
