Five major flood relief schemes delayed over planning problems

Five major flood relief schemes designed to protect almost 2,000 homes have been delayed due to planning problems, it has emerged.

The schemes in Dublin, Limerick, Mayo, and Wexford had all been due to start last year, but missed their targeted start dates. One has been subjected to planning objections, while others are still stuck in the planning process.
