EU parliament votes to remove Greek MEP as vice president amid Qatar corruption scandal

The European Parliament has voted to remove a Greek MEP from her vice-presidential duties following her arrest last week in relation to a corruption investigation.

Eva Kaili has been a member of the European Parliament for Greece since 2014 and was one of fourteen parliamentary vice-presidents elected in January 2022.
