Fine Gael TDs and ministers have voiced their “deep concern” at a sharp fall in support for the party in Dublin and among older voters.

Last week’s Ipsos poll for the Irish Times showed Fine Gael’s stranglehold in the capital has all but been broken and the party has largely been abandoned by pensioners.
