Stephen Donnelly has called for a “solid, reasoned, respectful debate” on any changes to Ireland’s abortion laws, as he referred a newly published review to the Oireachtas Health Committee for examination.

The Minister for Health was speaking at the Health Committee today as the government published the report of the Review of the Operation of the Health (Regulation of Termination of Pregnancy) Act 2018, which was chaired by Marie O’Shea, a barrister.
