Civil servants to get five days of domestic violence leave

Managers will be encouraged to watch out for any signs of 'injuries with implausible explanations’ under new policy

Civil servants who are suffering from domestic violence will be given paid leave of up to five days per year.

Paschal Donohoe, the Minister for Public Expenditure, announced the new policy today following the recent passage of legislation to bring in paid domestic violence leave.
