Chambers: Potential penalties against NCT operator ‘going into the millions’

Jack Chambers, the Minister of State in the Department of Transport, has written to the Road Safety Authority (RSA) re-emphasising the need for penalties to be paid by Applus, the operator of the National Car Test (NCT), over delays in drivers accessing tests, with potential fines “going into the millions”, he said.

It comes amid what the Minister described as a “dispute” over penalties between the two bodies.
