The outgoing Bank of Ireland chief executive met the Minister for Finance earlier this year to ‘highlight the impact of current remuneration restrictions’
Francesca McDonagh, the outgoing Bank of Ireland chief executive, has been lobbying Paschal Donohoe about lifting the bankers’ pay cap to fill key vacancies.
Two of BoI’s senior management roles are being covered by interim holders, and the bank will also need to to find a replacement for McDonagh herself when she leaves in September.
