Bar Council slams ‘slow pace’ of new legal services watchdog

The new legal services watchdog is inadequately resourced and too bogged down writing government reports to regulate the profession, according to the Bar Council.

As part of a legislative review, the Bar of Ireland said there was “growing frustration” and disappointment with the “slow pace” of implementing the Legal Services Regulation Act, 2015.
