Spiralling waiting lists and a failure to tackle high rates of mental illness are glaring symptoms of the breakdown at Stormont

After much uncertainty, a British general election has been scheduled for December 12. With all eyes on Westminster, efforts to restore devolution in the North will take a back seat.
