Criticising the media is great fun, but the media should take credible complaints seriously

Giving out about the media is an enjoyable national pastime, and rarely out of place

in any social situation, however civilised or not.

My esteemed colleague in commentary, Pat Rabbitte, has been at it recently, accusing

RTÉ of acting as a “recruiting sergeant” for the anti-water charge protests.

His view is common across government; indeed, if anything, he is one of the less
