It’s all hands to the pump: less than 50 days left and the good ship Britannia is sailing in ever-decreasing circles. Ever since Donald Trump was elected president, there has been an Irish political constituency trying to organise a boycott of the White House on St Patrick’s Day. They have also been threatening to fill the streets with protests should Trump visit us.
