Ireland’s Brexit has entered its absurdist phase. During a debate last week in the race to be the next leader of the Conservative Party, the frontrunner Boris Johnson held up a packaged smoked fish and claimed that European regulations were putting the producers of this delicacy out of business through red tape and excessive regulation.
