Ireland can't simply roll over when multinationals make demands, but we should listen to genuine concerns
On Sunday, this paper reported that Amazon briefed the government that it could treble its workforce in Ireland, where it already employs about 2,500 people. It also warned, however, that this could be scuppered by gaps in state policy on planning, skills and energy supply.
