The owners of the five-star Westbury Hotel objected to the pedestrianisation of South William Street last year, arguing that the plan would inconvenience its guests and lead to “extreme anti-social behaviour” in the area.
Dublin City Councillors agreed to push ahead with plans to fully pedestrianise South William Street despite opposition from some businesses in the area.
