Coalescent Mobile Robotics has raised €2 million in funding, bringing its total funding to date to €4 million.

The business was founded in 2018 by Clionadh Martin, originally from Tullamore, Co Offaly, and is based in Odense in Denmark.

Coalescent develops robots, which look like slightly taller versions of Roomba vacuum cleaners, that are used to move trolleys in warehouses and large supermarkets.

“The funding should see us through to the end of 2024 and the focus now is on sales. We’ve got a pilot with Salling Group in Denmark in the Bilka hypermarket chain,” Martin told the Business Post.
