VHI announces third price hike in the last 12 months

VHI is set to raise the prices of its healthcare plans from March 1 by an average of 7 per cent in a further blow to consumers.

The hike is the third such increase announced by the company in less than a year, meaning its customers are set to pay hundreds of euro more per year for cover.

The volume of claims rise by 20 per cent over the last year, according to the company.
