Vaping retailers have written to the health minister calling for a significant increase in regulation enforcement on their own products.

Vape Business Ireland, the trade association for retailers, wrote to Stephen Donnelly and other members of the government at the end of February welcoming the recent enactment of laws banning the sale of vapes to under 18s.

They also called on the minister “strongly enforce the ban and to roll out the proposed retail licensing system, which will ensure there are consequences for those who breach regulations and sell vapes to under 18s”.
