Utilities regulator ‘extremely concerned’ after Uisce Éireann requests €150m in extra funding

Semi-state water firm cited increased costs in energy and wage bills in its request

The state’s energy regulator has said it is “extremely concerned” after Uisce Éireann, the semi-state water company, requested more than €150 million in additional operational funding for next year while admitting it will not hit spending efficiency targets.
