US medical device firm to exceed Irish workforce target as capacity scales up

Edwards Lifesciences, the US medical device company that makes artificial heart valves, is likely to exceed its original target for the size of its Irish workforce as it continues to build out its Limerick operations.

The company, which currently employs 55 people at a depot facility in Shannon and 375 at the new site in Limerick, had originally said it intended to hire 850 staff in Ireland.
