US Embassy says tourists should ‘keep a low profile’ in wake of serious assaults in capital

The warning urges US citizens to exercise good personal security practices, to be aware of their environment and avoid walking alone

The US Embassy in Dublin has issued a stark warning to visiting tourists to “keep a low profile” in the wake of serious assaults in the capital, including on a US tourist and a Ukrainian actor.

The embassy said all citizens should “be aware of their surroundings, especially when travelling in unfamiliar places, crowded locations, empty street, or at night”.
