Up to €100 million worth of capital spending at the University of Limerick is in jeopardy due to growing governance concerns prompted by an overspend on property, the Business Post has learned.

The Higher Education Authority has told UL it is pausing spending on a series of capital projects at the university, amid ongoing fallout over its acquisition of 20 houses in Rhebogue.
