UK wealth managers descend on Ireland as savings rise and Brexit hits

At least five UK wealth managers have opened an office in Ireland, but some have concerns about a Sinn Féin government

Rising wealth in Ireland and a need to establish a European base post-Brexit has spurred UK wealth managers to set up in Dublin, with several firms acquiring smaller financial advisers and expanding operations.

Fairstone, Hawksford, Kingswood, Quilter Cheviot and RBC Brewin Dolphin all have a presence in Ireland, with sources telling the Business Post that another large UK player is currently finalising plans for a move across the Irish Sea.
