Uisce Éireann blames planning for three Olympic-sized swimming pools worth of raw sewage discharge

Uisce Éireann has committed to completely eliminating any raw sewage discharges in the majority of the 26 towns and villages that have no treatment service by 2025

Uisce Éireann executives have blamed the planning system for impacting their ability to address the large discharges of waste water into Irish waters.
