Increase in scope of project and unforeseen costs lead to cost overrun, finds local government report
A project to upgrade the centre of an Irish town is set to go over budget by at least €1.4 million.
The public enhancement works in Tullamore in Co Offaly included a new 17 metre-long pedestrian footbridge over the Tullamore River, street paving and the undergrounding of telephone and electrical cables.
