With An Garda Síochána expecting near normal operations at Shannon Airport, the former US president’s highly discussed visit doesn’t seem likely to cause many fireworks

Donald Trump’s two day visit to his golf resort in Doonbeg, Co Clare, begins on Wednesday with the former US president once again battling controversy, having last month become the first US president sitting or former to ever face criminal charges.

The visit however is unlikely to deliver much in the way of fireworks as the affair seems as much about Trump inspecting his resort as anything else.
