Three Ireland earnings slump 16% to €70m

Three Ireland’s earnings (EBITDA) fell by 16 per cent in the first half of 2023 to €70 million, despite the telco increasing total customers by 300,000 in the first half of the year.

The telecoms provider currently deals with 4.1 million consumers, a 9 per cent increase on the same period last year, bringing Three’s total market share to 43.5 per cent.

The drop in earnings was attributed to energy costs and inflationary pressures.
