For four months, three roadblocks have prevented a government decision on a future funding model for RTÉ.

A series of investigations commenced last July into the national broadcaster, ordered by Catherine Martin, the media minister, due by January were delayed and incomplete.

Government has maintained all along that RTÉ’s future funding model could not be properly considered until these reports were finalised.
