TII must buy ‘substantial’ number of homes to build MetroLink

It is not clear how many properties will be purchased in the construction phase of the project, or how many of those will be demolished

MetroLink will require the acquisition of a “substantial” number of residential and commercial properties, a senior transport official has said.

Michael Horan, TII’s head of land and property services, said the project would also involve the purchase of “numerous land and property interests in both public and private ownership”.

It is not clear how many properties the TII will purchase in the construction phase of the project, or how many of those will be demolished. ...
