Stripe UK turnover tops £527m in promising indication of firm’s overall health

British arm of Irish firm is one of few windows into company’s performance, since the main group does not publish its accounts

The British arm of Stripe, the Collison brothers’ online payments company, had a £156.6 million rise in turnover in 2022, from £371.1 million to £527.8 million, new financial accounts show.

Stripe Payments UK Ltd’s expenses rose in the same period — from £368.5 million to £518.4 million — leaving it with a pre-tax profit of £14.5 million, up from £2.6 million the year before.
