Steve Murphy appointed chair of Iarnród Éireann
Murphy succeeds Frank Allen, whose term concluded last month
Steve Murphy, the CEO of the rail operations firm MTR UK, has been named as the new chairperson of Iarnród Éireann by Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan.
Murphy, who has been on the board of the company since August 2023, succeeds Frank Allen, whose term concluded last month. He has headed up MTR UK since October 2020. Prior to that, he was managing director of MTR Elizabeth line for six years.
