The government plans to introduce cameras on traffic lights, starting in Dublin, in a bid to improve road safety, Eamon Ryan has said.

The cameras - which will be aimed at detecting motorists who break traffic lights - will come into effect “later this year”, according to the transport minister, before being rolled out across the country.
