State to be advised to apply anti-land speculation tax to all sites

The new rules designed to clampdown on land speculation need to apply to all zoned housing sites or else the bid to temper house prices will be delayed, the Irish Planning Institute will tell an Oireachtas committee today.

The government’s new Land Value Sharing measure has met stiff opposition from the property sector and faced further scrutiny in April when changes were made to the rules.
