Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that is “deeply concerned” about recent reports of suspected criminal damage at properties earmarked for accommodating international protection applicants, after a blaze broke out at a Galway hotel which was intended to house asylum seekers.
A fire broke out at the Ross Lake House Hotel in Rosscahill, which was set to accommodate 70 asylum seekers in the coming days, at approximately 11.35pm on Saturday.
