Mick Jagger, the Obamas and Women’s Aid are among the figures and institutions paying tribute to Tina Turner, who has passed away at the age of 83.

Turner, dubbed “the Queen of Rock of Roll” with hits including Proud Mary and The Best – died at her home in Switzerland on Wednesday after a long illness. She was diagnosed with intestinal cancer in 2016 and underwent a kidney transplant in 2017.
